WISER Program Guidelines

Welcome to WISER!

Our mentoring program connects postdocs with mentors to increase the number of Israeli women successfully completing their postdoctoral training and moving on to impactful positions in academia and industry.
Mentoring is a professional relationship based on trust. We believe that we can reach our common goals and our personal goals by establishing a common ground. Our guidelines apply to all postdocs and mentors in WISER in all matters regarding the mentorship and taking part in our program.

Privacy

We keep your contact information ONLY for connecting with WISER and with postdocs and mentors in the program.
During the mentorship period, you may learn privet details or personal information on each other or on others that may or may not be relevant to the mentoring.
Keep this information inside the mentorship only.
Do not misuse or abuse this information.
Do not share this information with others.
Please contact our team in any case your private information was shared, misused, or abused, during or in relation with the mentorship – it is a cause for ending the mentorship between the parties.

Safety

WISER relies on beneficial volunteer work. We strive to guarantee a safe, pleasant and welcoming environment to all participants in the program – academically and personally.
WISER will not tolerate harassment or bulling of any kind regarding the mentorship.
Both parties will conduct professionally and in mutual respect and will refrain from offense, harassment, or bulling during and in relation to the mentoring.
Please contact our team in any case of harassment or bulling during or in relation with the mentorship – it is a cause for ending the mentorship between the parties.
In any case of harassment or bulling, the participation of the offender in the program will end immediately and without appeal.

All content on the website belongs to WISER, and cannot be used without WISER’s written approval.
Information created by mentors is the intellectual property of the mentors and/or others and will not be used by WISER or the postdoc without the mentor’s written approval.
Information created by postdoc is the intellectual property of the postdoc and/or others and will not be used by WISER or the mentor under any circumstances.
“Information” means any and all confidential and/or proprietary information, including without limitation, data, technology, know-how, discoveries, processes, models, scientific results, formulas, specifications, prototypes, designs, equipment, samples, analyses, computer programs, trade secrets, methods, techniques, processes, memoranda, notes, marketing and other financial information, projections and any other data, whether in tangible form or not, which has been transmitted or otherwise disclosed.

“Intellectual Property” means all intellectual property rights in any of the Information, as well as any and all inventions, technological know-how, patents, copyrights, trademarks, trade names, designs, layouts, logos and other industrial or intellectual property of any kind including unpatented and/or unpatentable and/or non-copyrightable information, resulting and/or arising from the Research Program, as well as systems, procedures and ideas and further including software code, algorithms, utilities flowcharts, processes, formulations, data, experimental methods or results, descriptions, scientific plans, depictions, lists, documentation and any written printed or electronically stored materials or information, relating to any of the foregoing, all irrespective of any protection of such information in accordance with intellectual property laws.
